Welcome to Caloundra CityHarvest Church

Hi and welcome to Caloundra CityHarvest. We are located on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast – just a short drive north of Brisbane.

Worship 2 We are a dynamic church that is actively involved in numerous missions and ministries around the Sunshine Coast, and the world. You can learn more about our church life by browsing the following pages – Our Missions, Our Ministries, Leadership Team and Worship. Worship 1

If you are in the Caloundra area, why not visit us one Sunday morning at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Pelican Waters. Our Sunday meetings are relaxed, with contemporary worship followed by a brief morning tea, and a message from the Word. Children are very welcome, and can join in the fun of the Zoo Crew.

Bless you, and hope to see you soon.

It almost sounds blasphemous or a lessening of our Christianity to be called a friend of Jesus. We want to be a servant or an evangelist or a prophet or even an apostle, but friend?
Yet this is what Jesus said to his disciples on His departure from the planet," No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what His master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things I have heard from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15)
What is Jesus talking about? Is this a promotion or a demotion? I think it is meant as a promotion. Think about it!
A servant obeys what his master says, and that is only right. But a servant does not know his/her master intimately.A servant does not know what his/her master is thinking.
But friend means intimacy. It means knowing what the Master is thinking and what He wants to do.The shift is from doing the task to knowing the One who is leading. We are talking about relationship, and that means access to the very heart of the Father. That is what Jesus said and that is what we are celled to be.
To be friends of God is a promotion. Now it is, not so much about disobeying, but about disappointing. Our focus must shift from commandments to presence. We now live and do out of relationship, out of life in His presence. It changes from 'what do I do for Him' to 'how my choices affect Him'.
This is life transforming and church transforming. Think about it!
